Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not
everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of
heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many
will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name
and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’
23 Then I
will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
That as much as they professed their faith in Christ and lived hoping they will enter heaven, they did not repent all their sins and did not commit themselves to righteous living (Leviticus 20:26). Could that be you?😭
In view of this, it is apparent that people are worshipping God but they have forgotten to seek the holiness of the Lord.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
In their Christian worship, they sought so many things, but not holiness.
Alternatively, what if you died today hoping that you are going to be with the Lord, or enter rest, or dance with the angels, only to hear the voice of God the Father himself from heaven, rebuking you and assigning you a place in hell, what will you do (Hebrews 9:27)? 😭
The Bible says that we should examine ourselves to determine whether we are on the right track or we have drifted away (2 Corinthians 13:5). Lest anyone should think they are standing when actually they are fallen.
There will be eternal weeping, groaning and gnashing of teeth for any born again Christian who will not make it to heaven (Matthew 22:11-13). They will also be covered with everlasting shame and contempt (Daniel 12:2).
Mark this: for a born again Christian who is left behind on the day of Rapture: all their relatives, neighbors, workmates and church members knew that they were born again. The first thing they will do when they learn that rapture has taken place is to call you on the phone to check if you have been taken or left as they have been left. They will also come to your house to confirm this. They will deride you, hate you, ill treat you or even kill you because they will blame you for having not helped them to enter heaven.🤔🙆🏿
Likewise, chances are you will take offence at Christ, blaming Him for leaving you despite the fact that you attended church services, prayed often, read the scriptures, fasted, served as a pastor or bishop, was a well known evangelist etc (Matthew 7:21-23). At that also chances are that you will also lose hope, break faith with Christ and begin to hate Christ and Christians, to the extent of persecuting them in revenge (Matthew 24:9-14) ❗
Repent!
Jeremiah 12:5
“If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?"
If you fail to make it into the Rapture, will you make it to heaven through the Great Tribulation? If Christ rejects you at Rapture, what is the probability that He will accept you at his second coming?🤔 Repent!
Before these things happen, I hope that you will prepare well for the coming of the Messiah so all these will not befall you. Now is the time to repent and seek holiness. Now is the time to fear God and to serve him. If we prepare well we shall not be ashamed. Amen.
